The other day, I finished writing early. Since I had a little extra time, I decided it was a great time to go through a few dresser drawers and clean them out.
I had a garbage bag ready. I had a donation box on the bed. I had determination on my side.
First of all, it was amazing how much crap got shoved into my dresser drawers. Things that had nothing to do with clothing.
Second, I noticed my drawer liners were wadded up messes. I should buy some more paper, I decided, and lay down fresh lining. I decide to search online to find out what's the best paper to use. I stumbled across a Martha Stewart article that talked about using self-adhesive wallpaper as drawer liners.
Hmm, I thought. I kept searching. Everything else either sounded as if it was too much work (wrapping paper and spray adhesive? No thanks!) or if I'd end up again with wadded up paper on the bottom of my drawers.
The self-adhesive wallpaper idea was sounding pretty good. Martha Stewart had a link, and I did check out that store, but they had an annoying popup that covered my entire screen. I went to Spoonflower next and found some really great contenders, but the price. Ouch!
Which led me to Amazon to see if they had something cheap yet attractive. This wasn't going on my walls after all, but inside drawers. And I didn't have to scroll long to find one I liked and it was on sale for $4.99 a roll. I couldn't even get a sample at the other sites for that small amount of money. I ordered a few rolls because I'm really bad at judging how much I'll need. I figured if it's too much, I can use it in my bathroom drawers and if it's too little, something else will be on sale.
Of course, by the time the wallpaper arrives, I'll probably have lost my motivation to tackle the task. Measuring correctly, cutting neatly, and putting down the wallpaper sounds like a major project.
